George FOOT, 81, a lifelong resident of Medina, died yesterday in a Rochester hospital where he had been a patient for the past two years. Mr. FOOT was born in Ridgeway, and had always resided in the vicinity.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Samuel PLUMMER of State Street, and Mrs. Abbie WARNE of the Gravel Road. The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from McNall's Funeral Home, Albion. Rev. Webb Ayres of the Methodist Church will officiate, and burial will be in Boxwood Cemetery

Funeral services were held in Rochester this afternoon for Mrs. Hazel (Falls) FOOTE, 49, a native of Albion, whose death occurred Friday in Rochester from injuries received when she was struck by an automobile. Burial was in Lake Avenue Cemetery.
The deceased is survived by her husband, Seward FOOTE, one daughter, Eleanor, a son, Stanley; her father, Thomas FALLS of Medina, two brothers, Clayton FALLS of Medina and Floyd FALLS of Lockport; and four sisters, Mrs. Mildred VanAUKER of Niagara Falls, Mrs. Leona LUXON of Medina; Mrs. Eric KARLEY of Victor and Mrs. Marjorie PICKTURNEY of Rochester, also by several nieces and nephews.

Miss Louise FOOTMAN, of Clarendon, who has been visiting her sister in Cleveland during the winter, died there Friday, aged 31 years. Her funeral will be held on Monday in Holley.

Kent - Edgar D. FORD , 84, died at the home of his son on Kent Rd. in the Town of Carlton yesterday (Sept. 20, 1949). He had been a farmer, in Carlton in (h)is early life and was a former Albion resident. He is survived by a son, W. Roy FORD of Kent, and five grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Merrill Funeral Home at 134 E. State St., Albion, from 2 to 5 p. m. and from 7 to 9 p. m. today, with services there at 2:30 p. m. tomorrow, the Rev. B. Bailey HATHAWAY of Gaines officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery.

The death of Michael FORD, aged 80 years, occurred Friday morning at his home east of this village. He is survived by seven children: Anna, James and Mrs. Sarah O’GRADY, of Medina, Justice of the Supreme Court John FORD and Captain Martin FORD, of New York City; Lieutenant Michael FORD, in France, and Miss Agnes FORD, of Washington, D. The death of John FOREMAN occurred Tuesday at the home of his nephew, William L. FOREMAN 916 Orient street after a long illness, aged 83 years.
He is survived by three grandsons, William, Melvin and Edward, one granddaughter Mrs. Frank MARTIN all of Medina and four great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Martin OTTO, Gasport, a niece Miss Leslie ADDISON of Clear Water, Fla., and a nephew Howard OTTO, Gasport and Mrs. Minnie FOREMAN a daughter-in-law. Mr. FOREMAN was a Civil war veteran, serving with the 17th Battery.
The funeral will be held at the home Thursday afternoon at 3 oclock. Burial at Otter Creek Cemetery.

Lewis H. FOREMAN, 75, resident for the last eighteen months at the Odd Fellows' Home in Lockport, died early Sunday after a long illness. He was a linotype operator and worked on several newspapers in Western New York. He was a member of Crescent Lodge, of Buffalo, and for several years before going to Lockport lived with a daughter, Mrs. Nellie WIEDRICK in Medina.
Besides his daughter he leaves his wife, Jane S. Bull FOREMAN. The funeral was Monday afternoon from the Odd Fellows' Home. Burial was in Cold Spring cemetery.

Mrs. John FORREST was drowned Sunday in Daniel’s pound (pond), three miles west of Albion, near the Albion municipal waterworks. She and her husband, who were employed at home of Mrs. Fannie Curtis, nearby and were good swimmers, went to the pond to take a swim. Mrs. FORREST waded into the water, swam out and it was thought was seized with a heart attack as she sank in about eighteen feet of water.

At his home in Lewes, Del., on Friday, occurred the death of Frederick C. FORRESTER, aged 26 years, of valvular heart trouble. Mr. FORRESTER was a former resident of Medina and the body was brought here on Monday and the funeral took place from the home of his uncle, Andrew DOWNEY, Rev. W. A. Harris officiating. The interment was in Boxwood Cemetery. Deceased is survived by his widow and one son, besides a sister, Mrs. Arthur DRAKE

FORTUNATO, 2 months old, who died of pneumonia in the Medina Memorial Hospital Saturday morning following a brief illness. Rev. James A. Hogan oficiated at the services. He was the son of Mr. & Mrs. Gus FORTUNATO of 1010 South Main Street, Medina.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gus FORTUNATO; two brother, Vincent & Louis and one sister, Miss Martha FORTUNATO, all of Medina.

The death of Jesse FORTUNATO, 36, of 1016 South Main St., occurred suddenly yesterday morning in the Edward J. Meyer Memorial Hospital in Buffalo from complications which developed into pneumonia. Born in Fancher, May 14, 1907, Mr. FORTUNATO has resided in Medina most of his lifetime. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, and was employed at the E. & M. Enterprise Machine Shop, Middleport.
Surviving are his wife, Angeline FORTUNATO; two sons, Caesar and Donald, at home; his father, Vincent FORTUNATO of Medina; three brothers, Americo FORTUNATO of Brooklyn, Romeo FORTUNATO of Long Island, and Gus FORTUNATO of Medina: three sisters, Mrs. Nicholas DePALMA of Texas, and Mrs. Dominic CASTRICONE and Mrs. Rena BURDICK of Medina; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Vincent FORTUNATO, 69, died suddenly last evening at her home, 306 North Main street. Born April 29, 1873, in Alfedania, Italy, Mrs. FORTUNATO came to this country 49 years ago, and came to Medina from Fancher thirty years ago. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church.
She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Nicholas DePALMA of Albion, and Mrs. Dominic CASTRICONE and Mrs. Rena BURDICK of Medina; four sons, Americo FORTUNATO of Brooklyn, Romeo FORTUNATO of Elmhurst, L. I., and Gus and Jesse FORTUNATO of Medina; one sister, Mrs. Louis BELL of Fancher; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The death of Vincent FORTUNATO, 81, occurred suddenly at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Dominic CASTRICONE, 306 North Main Street, Tuesday afternoon. He was born in Alfadena, Italy, and came to this country about 1893, settling first at Blairsdale, Pa., and later in the vicinity of Fancher and Medina. He had resided in Orleans County for the past 40 years.
Originally a stone cutter by trade, Mr. FORTUNATO was later employed by H. J. Heinz Co. in Medina prior to his retirement. His wife, Martha DePALMA FORTUNATO, died nine years ago. He leaves three sons, Americo, of Brooklyn, Augustine of Medina and Romeo of Elmhurst, L.I., three daughters, Mrs. Delmina DePALMA of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Adeline CASTRICONE of Medina and Mrs. Lena BURDICK of Williamsville, and grandchildren. Children previously deceased were Humbart and Jesse FORTUNATO.
Prayer service will be held at the Thibault Funeral Home, South Main Street, Saturday at 9:30 a.m., with requiem mass at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church at 10 o’clock, the Very Rev. Henry B. Shaw officiating. Burial will be in the family plot at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Charles FOSBINDER died on Sunday afternoon at his home about two miles east of this village, after a long illness. Deceased, whose age was forty-five years, is survived by a wife (Augusta) and one son. The funeral services, conducted by Rev. S. W. Lloyd, were held at his late home Tuesday afternoon and the remains were interred in Boxwood Cemetery.

ALBION - Fred Grant FOSS, 64, of Waterport died today at Arnold Gregory Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Mr. FOSS was born in the Town of Carlton and lived in that area all his life. During World War II he served with the U.S. Army as corporal in the African, Italian and Austrian campaign. He was employed by Eastman Kodak, Rochester, until his retirement in 1970.
Surviving are his widow, Marguerite SMITH FOSS; one brother, Melvin C. FOSS of Albion; several cousins. Friends may call at their convenience at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, 21 West Ave., beginning this evening where services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Waterport Cemetery. Millers - Gus C. FOSS, 67, a well-known farmer of this area, passed away early yesterday in a Buffalo hospital where he had been a patient since Friday. He had been in ill health for a period of several months. Born in the Town of Yates on January 29, 1883, FOSS had lived in this township during his entire lifetime with the exception of a brief period of several months, and had engaged in farming and thrashing in the area.
He is survived by three brothers, Edward and Leo of Lyndonville, and John of Waterport; and seven sisters, Mrs. Anna BERGEMAN, Mrs. Earl HRNION and Mrs. Lewis COLE, all of Lyndonville, Mrs. Fred YORK of Corry,Pa., Mrs. Ray WRIGHT of Eagle Harbor, Mrs. Evelyn PAYNE of Medina and Mrs. Harry WRSCOTT of Lockport. Lyndonville - Mrs. Minnie E. FOSS, 75, wife of Edward FOSS, died yesterday at her home on the Roosevelt Highway, after having been in poor health for several months. Born in the Town of Yates, Sept. 11, 1872, she was the daughter of the late Elias and Hannah LAKE RICHARDS. In 1894 she was married to Edward FOSS, and had resided at her present home for approximately 65 years. Mrs. Foss attended the Yates Baptist Church, and was a member of the Yates Baptist Church Missionary Society, and the Yates Home Bureau Unit.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Harold FOSS, and two granddaughters, all at home; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the Smythe Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Clark of Royalton, a cousin, officiating. Burial will be in Lynhaven Cemetery.

LYNDONVILLE - Mrs. Ola H. FOSS, 83, of Lower Lake Rd., died early this morning at Medina Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for one week. She was born in Charlotte, Mich., Jan. 31, 1891, the daughter of the late Jay and Laura LACEY DODD. She had lived in Lyndonville all of her married life, which was 62 years.
Her husband, Leo E. FOSS survives; one son, Leo (Bud) FOSS of Medina; one daughter, Mrs. Oneita FIEGL of Lyndonville; two grandchildren, John FOSS and Mrs. Glen (Mary Ann) SHAWVER both of Lyndonville; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Claud MILLER, and a brother, Delbert DODD, both of Charlotte, Mich.; several nieces and nephews. Rev. Walter FOSS, minister of Central Spiritualist Church, Rochester, died Saturday in Park Avenue Hospital there, after an illness of two weeks. He was born in Toronto, Ont., 52 years ago. Mr. Foss was for several years minister of the Medina Presbyterian Church and was well known here. His many friends here will regret to hear of his passing. Besides his wife, Mrs. Anna BELL FOSS, he leaves a brother, Arthur Foss of Fosston, Minn., and a sister, Mrs. William KENNEDY of Ontario. The funeral service was conducted from his late residence on Monday afternoon, the Rev. William C. KENNEDY of the North Presbyterian Church officiating.

Lyndonville - An elderly Lyndonville man is dead and his wife and her sister are in critical condition at Arnold Gregory Memorial Hospital, Albion, as the result of an automobile accident which occurred shortly after noon on the Ridge Road, between Gaines and Childs.
William J. FOSS, 74, died at 4 p.m. yesterday in the Albion hospital as the result of his injuries, which included a fractured skull. Also injured in the accident were his wife, Mrs. Edith FOSS, 66, who received a head injury, fractures of her right wrist and both ankles; her sister, Mrs. Emma Bannerman, 72, head lacerations, a fractured pelvis, and broken left wrist and hand; and the driver of the car, John Cummings, 72, also of Lyndonville, suffering with shock and amnesia. All are in the Albion hospital, where the two women are reported as very critical.
According to State Police, the accident occurred 8 miles north of Albion, when the Cummings car collided with a car operated by Gerrit Poelma, 76, of Gaines, who was driving from an orchard into the Ridge Road from the north side of the road. The Lyndonville group was en route to Rochester. Poelma told troopers he started to head east on the highway when the Cummings car, coming from the west, passed on the right hand shoulder. The right front fender of the Poelma car was struck and the bumper torn off the car, while the Cummings car rolled over three times, stopping more than 1,000 feet from the point of collision, according to the report.

A. B. FOSTER, one of the oldest inmates of the Orleans County Home for Age and Infirm, died on Saturday afternoon at the hospital of that institution, aged 87 years. The body was taken to Holley where Mr. FOSTER formerly resided.

FATAL FIRE AT BARRE CENTER
A fire with sad loss of life occurred Tuesday, about midnight,
at Barre Center, when the farm house of Frank FOSTER, widely known,
burned to the ground with most of its contents.
Four deaths are the result of the fire. Mary HARTWELL, the woman
living with the FOSTER family, was burned to death with the two girls,
their three bodies being found in the cellar together. The other was
rescued but died yesterday. All were girls aged 5, 7 and 9. The woman was
about 60 years of age.
A call was heard first and the grandfather beneath their sleeping rooms was aroused, but no one could reach that part then, but by ladders. Mr. FOSTER was seriously ill with pneumonia, and the shock of being carried out into the cold and storm is likely to prove fatal to the father, who has not rallied from the double effects of the fire and relapse. There were no means at hand with which to fight the flames, and the home burned to the ground.
Mrs. FOSTER and youngest child escaped without injury, except from shock, fright and exposure. The origin of the fire is not known. The insurance on the building is $1,700, in the Farmers Insurance Company, which will not cover the loss.

George E. FOSTER died April 27th at the home of his son, John E. FOSTER, North Main street. He was born in South Butler, in 1853 and for the last thirty-three years had been an engineer on the New York Central lines. He was a member of Division 18, of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. He leaves besides his wife (Mary), one daughter, Caroline, and three sons, John and Charles of Medina and George of Cleveland; one sister, Mrs. Smith SLOCUM, of Ontario, N. Y., and one brother, Frank FOSTER, of Rochester. The funeral was held from St. Mary's church on Monday morning.

We learn from the Orleans Republican that Mrs. Albert FOSTER died suddenly at her home in Barre last Friday. She arose in the morning apparently as well as ever, but while putting on her shoes expired.

The death of Mrs. Julia FOSTER, mother of George FOSTER , occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry CHASE, in Buffalo, Friday, after a brief illness, aged 67 years. The remains were brought to Medina Saturday and taken to the home of her son, George, on North Main street, where the funeral was held Monday at one o'clock. The interment took place in Mt. Albion Cemetery. The deceased is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Harry CHASE, of Buffalo, and three sons, George, of Medina, Charles, of Buffalo and Roy, of Oakfield.

Mrs. Mary FOSTER died Saturday evening, August 30th, after a lingering illness,
aged about 88 years. Her remains were taken to the home of her grand daughter
in Rochester, where the funeral was held September 2nd, burial at Mt. Hope. She
leaves one daughter Mrs. Hattie GLOVER and two sisters, Mrs. Hattie HOUSEMAN,
and Mrs. Maria MERRILL, with whom she had lived for many years. Nearly nine years
ago Mrs. FOSTER fell and broke her hip and she has been faithfully cared for by
her sister and daughter, Mrs. MERRILL and Mrs. GLOVER through all these years.

Miss Philana A. FOSTER, who had spent the greater part of her long life in teaching, died in Albion Thursday, aged 81 years. She was a teacher in the old Phipps Union Seminary and the old Albion Academy, and in her later years had conducted private schools.

Mr. Henry FOUNTAINE, aged 82 years died at his home on Lee Street, two miles east of Millville, Saturday afternoon, December 2nd, after an illness of several months.
He is survived by a wife, Mrs. Mary FOUNTAINE, two daughters, Mrs. William BOYLE of Millville, and Mrs. Oscar TROW of Albion.

Augustine FOX, 63, of N. Gravel Road, died this morning in Medina Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Medina Nov. 23, 1895, the son of Martin and Alice FOX. Mr. FOX was a member of St. Mary’s Church and the Holy Name Society of that church. He was a veteran of Workd War 1 and a member of Butts-Clark Post, American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice: one daughter, Mary Lou, at home: two brothers, Thomas and James FOX of Medina: one sister, Mrs. Mary McCLELLAN: one niece, Mrs. Franklin KADERLI.

Sister M. Germaine, formerly Delia L. Fox of Medina, and more recently of Mt. St. Joseph Academy, Buffalo, died at Our Lady of Victory Hospital, in Lackawanna, this morning, after a lingering illness.
Sister Germaine was born in Medina and educated in the local public schools. In 1907 she entered Mt. St. Joseph, Buffalo, where later she took her vows in the Order of St Joseph. She taught in many schools. She was principal of Lackawanna, superior of Blessed Trinity College, Superior of St. Mary’s Medina, and for the past ten years was on the Academy staff at Mt. St. Joseph and recelved a Master of Arts degree at Canisius College.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. J. P. LENIHAN and Miss Marguerite FOX of Batavia; one brother, John L. FOX of Buffalo; two nephews, J. Clair LENIHAN of Tonawanda, and J. Bernard LENIHAN, of Batavia. Funeral services will be held at Mt. St. Joseph, Buffalo, on Friday morning at 9:30, where friends are being received.

Millville: Seldom are we called upon to record so many deaths in so short a time as those of the past few days. First was Mrs. Almira L’Hommedieu, then on the same street, and in the same neighborhood, the death angel took two from one house. First, on Thursday, at three o’clock, p.m., Miss Ella FOX, daughter of William FOX, aged nineteen years, was taken. She had been a sufferer for several years from a lung trouble and spinal difficulties, all of which she endured with much patience; but she finally died of typhoid pneumonia, her father and mother both being sick of the same disease at the time of her death. Her remains were taken to the vault the next day, and on Sunday morning her mother (Lucretia)) breathed her last, leaving her husband, the only remaining one of the family, sick in bed. Her remains were taken to the vault that morning and placed by the side of daughter. At eleven o’clock, the Rev. Mr. Wrench preached a funeral ________ at the M.E. Church from (Isaiah 40:8?). We learn today that Mr. FOX is somewhat better and there are hopes that he may recover.

F. Elmer FOX, 64, of 211 Prospect Ave. died early Saturday morning at Medina Memorial Hospital one hour after admittance following a heart attack. He was born in West Shelby, Feb. 1, 1894, and spent his entire lifetime in this vicinity. Mr. FOX was a barber for forty years, and had been in business with his son, Donald, on Main St. for the past eight years. He was a member of Medina Elks Lodge and was a past governor of the Loyal Order of Moose here.
He is survived by his wife, Florence HARTIGAN FOX; one daughter, Mrs. Donald Munion (MUNDION); one son, Donald FOX: five grandchildren, all of Medina. Also, two sisters, Mrs. Albert KELSCHENBACH and Mrs. Clarence EDWARDS, both of Buffalo; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Barnes-Tuttle Funeral Home, Pearl St., where services will be held at 2 p m. tomorrow. The Rev. Reginald Cory of First Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be in Boxwood Cemetery.

Fred FOX, aged 65 years, of 330 North Main St., died suddenly Saturday morning. He was the son of the late John and Genevieve SHERMAN FOX. The deceased collapsed and died suddenly from a cerebral hemorrhage on the second floor of his home. A Fire Dept. rescue squad was unable to revive him. Mr. FOX had been on Main St., chatting with friends and acquaintances less than a half hour earlier.
Born in Medina and a lifetime resident, he is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Flora CASEY of Buffalo, Miss Anna FOX of Medina, and Mrs. Hartwell BABBITT of Albion; several nieces and nephews. A member of St. Mary’s Church, the deceased was a World War I veteran and a charter member of the American Legion, Butts-Clark Medina Post. He was also a member of the Moose. After working 35 years for the New York State Department of Highways, he was retired this January.
Friends may call at the Cleary Funeral Home from where prayers will be said at 8:30 Tuesday morning with Mass at 9 at St. Mary’s Church. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The death of James S. FOX occurred this morning. Mr. FOX was 54 years old and had been ill for about five weeks of Brights disease. He was born in Waterford N. Y. in 1858, but had lived the greater part of his life in this vicinity at Ridgeway, West Shelby and other near by points but or (for) the last five years had lived on Prospect Avenue in this village. He was a member of the congregation of the M. E. Church and was highly regarded by all who knew him.
The surviving family consists of the widow (Hattie FREARY), two daughters, Mrs. Clara DEWEY, of the Medina Hospital staff of nurses, and Miss Gladys FOX, and one son, Elmer FOX, who reside at home. The funeral will take place from the house on Friday afternoon at one o'clock, the Rev. Mr. Harris conducting the service, and the burial will be in the family plot at West Shelby.
He is also survived by one brother, Charles and his father, Abraham FOX, of Burt.

The death of Mrs. Jennie FOX, 86, widow of John FOX, occurred at 4:30 p. m. yesterday at her home, 330 North Main Street, following a lingering illness. Born In Ireland May 17, 1857, Mrs. FOX came to this country as a young girl, settling in Albion for a few years, later coming to Medina, where she has since resided. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Miss Anna FOX of Medina, Mrs. Hartwell BABBITT of Albion, and Mrs. John CASEY of Buffalo; two sons, Fred and William FOX of Medina; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 8:30 from her late residence, and at 9:00 o’clock at St. Mary’s Church. Burial will be in Boxwood Cemetery.

The death of John A. FOX, 62, a veteran of World War I, occurred September 14 in the Buffalo Veterans Hospital where he had been a patient since Thursday of last week. The deceased was born in Medina, his parents being the late Martin and Alice FOX. For a number of years he was employed by the New York Central Railroad but retired two years ago because of ill health. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church, the Holy Name Society and the American Legion.
Surviving are a sister and three brothers. The body is resting at the O’Reilly Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in St. Mary’s Church at 9:30 a. m. Thursday. The Very Rev. Henry B. SHAW will officiate and burial wll be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

John L. FOX, a former Medina resident, expired suddenly in Clarence last evening, following a long illness. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. James LENIHAN and Miss Marguerite FOX of Batavia; two nephews, Clare LENIHAN of Tonawanda and Bernard LENIHAN of Batavia.
Mr. Fox was a brother of the late Sister M. Germaine, James R. and Julia FOX. He was a member of Medina Council Knights of Columbus, a former communicant of St. Mary’s Church, and member of its Holy Name Society.
The deceased is resting at the home of his sister, 46 State St., Batavia. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Church, Medina, Friday morning. Time will be announced later.

Thomas FOX, 70, of North Gravel Road died Saturday in the Veterans Hospital, Buffalo, where he had been a patient for the past two month(s). Born in Medina, the son of the late Martin and Alice FOX, he had lived his entire lifetime in this vicinity. For a number of years he had been employed by the New York Central Railroad as a watchman, retiring five years ago. He is survived by one brother, James FOX and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Fox was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church, a member of its Holy Name Society and a rnember of Butts-Clark Post of the American Legion, having been in World War I. Friends may call at the Thibault Funeral Home, South Main Street, from where a prayer service will be held Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. and funeral mass at Saint Mary’s Church at 9 o’clock with military honors at the grave in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The death of William Joseph FOX, 61, 1120 South Main St. occurred suddenly at about 6 p.m. last evening at his home. He had been active throughout the day yesterday, and attended a football game at Veterans Memorial Park earlier in the afternoon. Born here April 17, 1890, the son of John and Jennie SHERMAN FOX, the deceased was a lifelong Medina resident, associated with S. A. Cook & Co., Cook Wholesale Co., and the Village of Medina Water Dept.
Employed by S. A. Cook & Co. early in this century, Mr. FOX remained with that concern until 1934 as shipping clerk. At that time he became a maintenance man with the local Water Dept. until 1945 when he went with Cook Wholesale Co. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a member of the Holy Name Society of that church.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel WILLETT FOX at home; one son, William, also of 1120 South Main St., one brother, Fred, 330 North Main St.; three sisters, Miss Anna V. FOX, 330 North Main St., Mrs. Hartwell BABBITT of Albion, and Mrs. John CASEY of Buffalo; three grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and uncles. Friends are being received at the Hartt Funeral Home, Pearl St., where a prayer service will be held at 9 a. m. Wednesday. Funeral service will be held at St. Mary’s Church at 10 a. m. with the Very Rev. Henry B. SHAW officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Joseph FRACZCZAK, 89, died Saturday at his home, 110 Pleasant Street. Born in Poland, Mr. FRACZCZAK had resided in Medina for the past 59 years. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Edna TRACY of Niagara Falls, Mrs. Catherine KUJAWA of North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Mary FRIDAY and Mrs. Victoria WRAZIN, both of Medina; one son, Leon FRACZCZAK of Medina; 22 grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren; also one brother, Wincenty FRACZCZAK, of Poland.
Funeral services will be held from his late home, 110 Pleasant Street, on Tuesday morning at 9:30 o’clock, and at 10 o’clock at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Funeral services for Joseph FRACZCZAK were held Tuesday morning in Sacred Heart Church with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Bearers were William PARADA, William SCZECHOWSKI, Stanislaw SIUTA, Thomas MARASZEK, Isador KWIATKOWSKI and Edward KOTERAZ.

Mrs. Mary (FRACZCZAK) FRANKLIN, 62, wife of Leo H. FRANKLIN, 129 Worthy Ave., died suddenly this morning at her home.
She was born in Albion, March 25, 1892. Mrs. FRANKLIN was a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Rosary Society of that church. Besides her husband she is survived by five daughters; Mrs. Francis GARBARINO, Dayton, Ohio; Mrs. Edward WASHAK, Mrs. Russell MONDO, Mrs. Joseph MASTROMONACO, of Medina and Mrs. Paul STERLNG, Rochester; three sons, Joseph FRANKLIN, Stanley and Leonard FRACZAK, all of Medina; three brothers, Frank and John CRANE, both of Albion and James CRANE, Medina; one sister, Mrs. Louis SCHULTZ, Detroit, Mich., and twelve grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning from the residence at 10 o’clock in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The Rev. Anthony CIECHANSKI will officiate.

Mrs. Mary Fralick, formerly of Medina, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Oscar Snyder, Thompsonville, Mich., November 30th, after a few days illness with pneumonia. The burial was at Thompsonville Cemetery.

ALBION - The death of Mrs. Hazel GAW FRANCHELL, 51, wife of William FRANCHELL, Medina business man, occurred Monday, August 1, shortly after six o’clock in the Arnold Gregory Memorial Hospital. Death followed a long illness.
Mrs. Franchell was born in LaPorte, Indiana, Nov. 1, 1903. She came to Albion following her marriage to the late Fred THOMPSON and had been a resident here for the past 16 years. Mr. THOMPSON died in 1950. She married Mr. FRANCHELL July 22, 1952. Mrs. FRANCHELL was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and was active in the Twig of Arnold Gregory Hospital having had charge of the gift package service of the Twig.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her father, John E. GAW of Plymouth, Ind., a brother, William Edward GAW, LaPorte, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Frank SHOOK, Westfield, Ind., and a niece, Mrs. Robert DAVIS, Michigan City, Ind.
The body is resting at her late home, 302 South Main St., from where funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30. The Rev. W. J. YOUNGMAN, rector of Grace Church, will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery. (

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p. m. in the Hartt Funeral Home, where the body is resting, for Mrs. Ruth (ROGERS) FRANCHELL, 56, wife of William A. FRANCHELL, Medina retail grocer, whose death occurred at 7:30 a.m. Saturday in her 500 Park Avenue home following an illness of several months.
The Rev. Reginald CORY, pastor of the Medina Methodist Church, of which the deceased was a member, will officiate and burial will be in Boxwood Cemetery.
Born in Youngstown, N. Y. in 1894, Mrs. FRANCHELL was the daughter of the late L. L. ROGERS, D.D. and Jessie (COE) ROGERS. She was a graduate of Lima Seminary and Syracuse University with the Class of 1918. She was a member of the Berean Class of the Methodist Church and the Medina Tuesday Club.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, William, Jerome and James, all of Medina, and three brothers; Herbert B. ROGERS of Dallas, Texas; Vincent J. ROGERS of Buffalo and Lincoln L. ROGERS of Caledonia.

The death of Samuel C. Francis occured at his late home of Liberty Street, Albion, NY on September 28, 1916, aged 84 tears. Mr. Francis was born in Canastota, but has spent nearly all of his life in western NY, and for the past 42 years had been a resident of this village. In 1862, Mr. Francis enlisted in Company G, 151st NY Infantry, and served with his regiment till the close of the war. He was an active and devoted member of the Free Methodist Chuch in Albion, and a man highly respected and loved by all who came in contact with him. On account f the unusual height he was a man who attracted attention where ever he went.
He is survived by his widow (Lydia Alicia Moore) and one daughter, Miss Lillian Francis of Batavia, NY The funeral services were held from the late residence on Liverty Street, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev J.H. Wheeler officiated, His last resting place is in the beautiful Mt. Albion Cemetery.
Mr. Francis was one of our oldest subscribers, and one of Albion's oldest citizens; a man well known and much respected. A kind husband and father; and a devoted christian man who has passed from this life to that beyond, leaving behind a splendid record as a soldier and citizen.

Mrs. Belle FRANKE died at a hospital in Albany Friday of tuberculosis. The deceased was a former resident of Medina and left here last September for the Adirondacks in hopes of regaining her health.

Frank J. FRARY died at his home on Park avenue Monday morning last after a long illness. Deceased was the only surviving son of the late Albert FRARY and was born in the town of Shelby in 1853. Excepting a few years when he was engaged in business in Flint, Michigan, his life had been passed in Medina and he was for a long time in the grocery business. He is survived by one son, William A. FRARY, of Rochester. The funeral will take place this afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. Gilbert Shaw officiating. Interment in Boxwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Nora PINKNEY FRARY, wife of Frank J. FRARY, passed away at her home on Park avenue Monday morning last after a long illness with a complication of diseases. Mrs. FRARY, who was sixty-two years of age, was born at Lansing, Mich., coming to Medina after her marriage where she has since resided. Deceased is survived by her husband, two sons--William and Fay--and two brothers--Fred and Charles PINKNEY, of Lansing. The funeral will occur from her late home this (Thursday) afternoon at two o'cock, Rev. J. E. Williams, of Gowanda, officiating. Interment in Boxwood Cemetery.

The death of Mrs. Janet COMPTON FRASER, 33, 120 Roseland Ave., occurred today in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, where she had been a patient for about eight weeks
Born in Medina, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seymour COMPTON, Roseland Ave., the deceased was a member of the First Baptist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by her parents; one son, Michael Thomas FRASER; a brother, John Donald COMPTON.
Funeral services will be held at the Hartt Funeral Home, Pearl St., Monday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Ralph D. Ross officiating. Burial will be in Boxwood Cemetery.

LYNDONVILLE, Aug. 22 - Dr. David E. FRASER, 80, one of Orleans County’s oldest practicing physicians with more than 57 years of service here, was found dead in his home at 133 Maple St. Sunday noon. He had suffered a coronary thrombosis 14 years ago and had several attacks since then. But he continued his practice. Death was attributed to natural causes by Dr. Walter Shifton of Albion, an Orleans County coroner. He was found in bed by his brother, Donald M. FRASER, who lives next door.
Dr. Fraser was graduated from the University of Buffalo Medical College in 1903 and joined his father, Dr. Davis S. FRASER, who had been a physician for almost half a century. They practiced together for seven years. Dr. FRASER had been living alone since his wife, Daisy, injured her hip in a fall on her 83d birthday last Jan. 15. She is in the Bishop Nursing Home, Medina. Last October the FRASERS celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary. Dr. FRASER served as physician for the Lyndonville schools during his entire practice, as village health officer, and was a coroner for 18 years. He was a veteran of World War I, in which he served as a captain in the Army Medical Corps and was in charge of establishment of a debarkation hospital in New York City. He was a member of the American Legion, the Lyndonville Presbyterian Church, the various medical societies, and a former past master of the Yates Lodge of F&AM.
Besides his wife and his brother he is survived by a son, Donald A. FRASER of Oakland, Calif., and another brother, Kenneth D. FRASER, also of Lyndonville.

After a brief illness, Mrs. Jessie N. FRASER, widow of the late Dr. D. S. FRASER, died at her home on Maple avenue Saturday morning, November 3, 1928, aged 73 years.
Mrs. Jessie COLT FRASER was born in Green Lake, Wisconsin, March 23, 1855, and came to the town of Yates when she was 9 years of age. On April 25, 1877, she was united in marriage to Dr. David S. FRASER, who died September 22, 1924. Mrs. FRASER was held in the highest esteem by a large circle of friends in this community and took an active interest in the social affairs of the village. She was a member of the Methodist church, Missionary society, King’s Daughters, and an honorary member of the Literary and Historical club.
The surviving relatives are three sons, Dr. David E., Kenneth, and Donald M. FRASER; a sister, Mrs. Emma BARRETT, of Dallas, Texas; eighteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. The funeral service was held at her late home Monday afternoon. Rev. G. C. Bucher of Oakfield delivered the address and Rev. G. O. Fisher offered a prayer. Interment was in Lynhaven Cemetery.

FRASER- At his home in Bartlesville, Okla., Dec. 12, 1918, of pneumonia, Keith C. FRASER, formerly of this village, aged 33 years. The funeral was held from his father's home in Lyndonville, Dec. 15, with burial in Lynhaven Cemetery. Rev. Geo. E. Morse was the officiating clergyman. Surviving are a wife; a son, Hugh Kirk.; a father, mother, and four brothers, Hugh, David E., Kenneth D. and Donald M. and their families.

Mrs. Marcia Ann FREDERICKS, 28, wife of Merle FREDERICKS of 112 Elwood Ave., died this morning at Roswell Park Memorial Institute in Buffalo after a long illness. Born in Rochester, the daughter of Burton and Loraine WINANS, she had lived most of her lifetime in Medina. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church. Surviving besides her husband, Merle, are three daughters, Linda, Sharon and Mary Ann, and one son, David, all at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Burton WINANS of Medina. Also, two brothers, Ronald and Robert of Medina; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received afternoon tomorrow at the Thibault Funeral Home, South Main St., where a prayer service will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday. A funeral mass at St. Mary’s Church will follow at 9:30 a.m. and burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The funeral of Clarissa FREEMAN, aged 87 years, was held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles GILBERT on the Telegraph Road Monday afternoon. Besides Mrs. GILBERT, she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Addie HOYER, of West Shelby. The Rev. George Dodge, of Oakfield, officiated, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Eaton, of the M. E. Church at Middleport. Burial was at Mountain Ridge Cemetery.

FREEMAN whose death occurred suddenly Thursday. The Rev. Thomas Richards and the Rev. Alfred Underhill will officiate and burial will be in Boxwood Cemetery, Medina.
Mrs. FREEMAN was born in Michigan, February 12, 1882, and has been a resident of Middleport for the past 48 years. Her parents were the late John and Mary HUNT NEWCOMBE. She was a member of the First Universalist Church here and active in the church and its societies. She was a charter member of Priness Chapter O.E.S. and the Middleport Study Club.
Surviving in addition to the husband are a son, Gerald of Geneva, a daughter Mrs. Elroy WEET, and three grandgjildren, Carol, Robert and Jack WEET, all of Medina; a sister, Mrs. Bertha WHIFFEN, Los Angeles Calif. and a brother, Burr NEWCOMBE, Rockford, Mich.

Henry L. FREEMAN passed away on Monday, May 21st, at his home on the Freeman road in the town of Shelby, southwest of this village, at the age of 81 years. Besides his wife, he leaves one daughter, Mrs. L A. BRACE, one son Walter J. FREEMAN, and three grandchildren; also a brother, Nelson S. FREEMAN, of Medina, and a sister, Mrs. Adelaide BURKE of Rochester.
Mr. FREEMAN was born and had lived nearly his life upon the farm where his death occurred. The funeral will be held from his late residence on Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock with interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, the Rev. T. A. Kilbourne officiating.

Lewis, aged about eight years, son of Lewis FREEMAN, residing on Main street, fell into the canal about seven o’clock Tuesday evening, while playing along the bank near the terminal. A party of boys in bathing near by came to the rescue. George Lowry(?) dove and brought the body to the surface, and Drs. Munson and Regan were summoned. All efforts to restore life were unavailing and the body was taken to O’Reilly & Sons undertaking rooms.

The death of Otto FREDERICKS occurred yesterday morning at 6 o’clock at his home in Reynold’s Basin, as a result of a stroke of paralysis. He is survived by a wife and nine small children. Funeral services will be held at the family residence Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock, Rev. C. Poeckler will officiate. Interment will be in Mountain Ridge cemetery.

Burton FRENCH, formerly a resident of Medina, died in Chicago on Sunday last, age forty-one yrs. The body was brought here yesterday and taked to the residence of S.E. Filkins, from which place the funeral occured. Services were held in the chapel at the West Ridgeway Cemetery where the interment took place.
Besides his widow, Lillian CLARK FRENCH, and one daughter, Mrs. Fred McINTIRE (Maud), who accompanied the remains to Medina, three children survive, Naomi FRENCH HUGHES, (Samuel) Clark FRENCH and Burton Nathan FRENCH, Jr.

Herbert A. FRENCH, who suffered a stroke of paralysis last November, died at his home on the Telegraph Road on Thursday evening last,aged 57 years. Mr. FRENCH was one of the best known experts on locating water in New York State. For many years he was a well driller, and it was he who located the source of our present water supply for the village.
He is survied by his wife (Ruth ALLIS), one son, Clark R. and one daughter, Allis FRENCH. The funeral was held on Saturday afternoon, the Rev. S.A. Waterbury of the Presbyterian Church of Knowlesville officiating. Interment was in Boxwood Cemetery.

Joseph A. FRENCH, a well known resident of the town of Ridgeway, died yesterday morning, at his home on the Bates road, aged fifty-nine years. The deceased was afflicted with Bright’s disease of the kidneys and had been confined to his house three or four months. Mr. FRENCH resided in this vicinity upwards of thirty years and was universally esteemed.

Death of O. Clark FRENCH
O. Clark FRENCH, a former resident of Albion, late of Rochester, was
killed while jumping from a train at Schenectady Wednesday evening of
last week, January 13th. The particulars of the sad event are thus described in
a special dispatch to the Rochester Post-Express:
A sad accident occurred Wednesday evening at 9:15 o'clock, when O. Clark FRENCH was almost instantly killed while alighting from a D. & H. freight train at the south side of the State street crossing. As the caboose passed the crossing a man was seen to alight and apparently he struck squarely upon his feet, but was seen to throw up his arms and pitch heavily forward, his head striking upon the curbstone. The unfortunate man was borne into the Postal Telegraph office and laid upon the floor, where he died almost instantly. Upon examination the whole top of his head was found to be crushed.
The interment was at the Riverside cemetery.

Willis L. FRENCH, formerly of Middleport, (he was born in Ridgeway) died at the home of his mother, Mrs. Jesse SHAEFFER, (her 2nd husband) 21 East Av., on Sunday morning, Aug. 9, 1903 at the age of 42 yrs. The funeral will be held from the home of Mrs. Shaeffer on Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock and burial will be in Barrett's Cemetery in Ridgeway.

August FRIDAY (aka PIONTEK), 63, died Saturday morning at the Medina Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born in Poland he came to Medina as a young boy. For many years he was employed at the A. L. Swett Iron Works, and later at the H. J. Heinz Co. A communicant of Sacred Heart Church, he was a member of the Sacred Heart Club.
Surviving are his wife, Mary (TYLEK) FRIDAY; four daughters, Mary, Helen, Victoria of Medina and Esther of Albion; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild; also three sisters, Marie, Rose of California and Mary, three brothers, Peter of California, John of Utah and Thomas of Detroit.
Funeral services will be held from the Cleary Funeral Home Tuesday morning at 8:30 o'clock and at Sacred Heart Church at 9 o’clock. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Henry FRIDAY, 65, a Spanish American war Veteran, died Friday night at 11:30 at his home, 177 North Street, after a long illness. Born in Germany November 30, 1878, Mr. FRIDAY had been a resident of Medina for many years, where he was a moulder by trade. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church. During the Spanish American War he served with the regular Army in the Coast Artillery 60th Co.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Celia FRIDAY; one son, Vincent FRIDAY of Buffalo; two grandchildren; four brothers, August FRIDAY of Medina, John FRIDAY of Utah, and Thomas and Peter FRIDAY of California; and three sisters, Mrs. Rose CHAJK of California, Mrs. Marie MENDEL of Detroit, Michigan, and Mrs. Pearl GUSH of Buffalo.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 8:30 from the O’Reilly Funeral Home, and at 9 o’clock at St. Mary’s Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

John FRIDAY (AKA PIATEK), 89 died at his home at 605 Moore St, Albion NY on Monday, June 27. He was born in Zarowka, Poland, the son of Francis PIATEK and Marianna GLOWACZ, and resided in Albion for 68 years. He was a former quarryman and later employed by the local canning factory. He was a member of St Mary's Parish in Albion and the Holy Name Society.
He was predeceased by his wife of 44 years, the former Stefania SIEBAK. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Bernice RYTLEWSKI, Miss Helen PIATEK, Mrs. Veronica LUBAWY all of Albion, and Mrs Anna BALCERZAK of Medina; four sons, Frank of Albion, Leo of Batavia, Casimer of Rochester and John Jr. of Detroit. Seventeen grandchildren and twenty seven great-grandchildren also survive.
Friends will be received by the family from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, 12 Ingersoll St. Mass will be sung at St Mary's Church on Friday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St Joseph (New) Cemetery.

Leo “Bob” FRIDAY, 89, of 208 Bank Street, a die repairman at Doehler-Jarvis Co. until his retirement in 1969, died Tuesday (Nov 10, 1998) at the Genesee County Nursing Home.
Mr. FRIDAY was born in Albion on April 11, 1909, a son of John FRIDAY (AKA PIATEK) and Stephanie SIEBAK. He was a member of the Doehler Quarter Century Club, the St. Mary's Athletic Club in Albion, and former member of the Polish Falcons Nest No. 493 as well as the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Club in Batavia.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, the former Clara RICE, two sons, Thomas (Deborah) FRIDAY and James (Cary) Friday, both of Rochester; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.He was a brother of the late Casmer, John, Frank, Bernice RYTLEWSKI, Rose BALICKI, Anna BALCERZAK, Veronica Lubawy and Helen Piatek.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the J. Leonard McAndrew Funeral Home, 2 Bogue Ave in Albion, where prayers at 9 a.m. Friday will be followed by a Mass at St. Joseph's Church in Batavia. Relatives have been notified of the sudden death of Peter FRIDAY of Los Angeles, California, Tuesday.
Mr. Friday was the son of the late Joseph and Madeline FRIDAY of Canal Bank and lived in Medina in his youth. He moved to California several years ago and has resided there ever since.
Surviving besides his family are two brothers, Thomas and John, and three sisters, Pearl (GUSH), Rose (CHAJK) and Mary, and several nieces and nephews in this area.

Vincent FRIDAY, 49, Buffalo, died yesterday in the Buffalo General Hospital, after a long illness. Mr. FRIDAY was a former resident of Medina, the son of Mrs. Cecelia FRIDAY and the late Henry FRIDAY, North Street.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Sophie; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy PARKS and a son, Edward, all of Buffalo; and an uncle, Edward ZUCZUSKI, Medina.
The body is resting at the O’Reilly Funeral Home from where services will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 and at 10 o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Celia FROST, aged 89 years, who passed away at her home at Knowlesville on Saturday afternoon were held this afternoon at two o’clock from the Presbyterian church with interment at Mt. Albion.
The deceased was one of the oldest residents of Knowlesville and her entire life time had been spent in that locality. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and had been a member of the missionary society of the church since its organization nearly seventy years ago.
She is survived by one son, Dr. Edward Frost of Buffalo, and six grandchildren, Alice ANDERSON of Knowlesville, Allen FROST of Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Carl FROST, Olive FROST, Loraine FROST and Mrs. Irving WILLIAMS of Buffalo.
She made her home with her son in-law, Fred AANDERSON of Knowlesville. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. Graft, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of that place and burial was at Mt. Albion Cemetery.

Emma GROVER FROST, wife of Harvey F. FROST, died at her home in Knowlesville on the morning of January 16, aged 72 years. Mrs. FROST was a life-long resident of Knowlesville and was a woman of a remarkably bright and cheerful disposition and her death is mourned by a large circle of friends. A sad circumstance is that Mr. and Mrs. FROST were making preparations to celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary on January 21st.
Mrs. FROST is survived by two sons, William FROST, of New York City, Harry FROST, of Knowlesville, and two sisters, Mrs. George SMITH and Mrs. William FROST, of Knowlesville.

Sabbath, May fifteenth, was a sad day in the little village of Knowlesville. In the morning as people gathered for worship, it was whispered from one to another that William FROST had but a few hours to live. Sadness pervaded the air, hearts were heavy, even when they had not learned of the cloud which was impending. At four-ten that afternoon he breathed his last. Not alone the large family circle, but the church and the community, feel the great loss. He was one of the most genial at social gatherings; and he was also one of the most faithful, and ever ready cheerfully to take any part in church work or help a neighbor.
William Henry FROST was born September fourth, 1840, on the farm which he owned at the time of his death. His life was associated with the Presbyterian Church in this place from his infancy. His father and mother sang in the choir until their children could take their places. The deceased was but ten years old when he began his part thus, and his last part with the choir was performed only a few weeks before his death. He lead the singing in prayer meeting, April 20th, when the subject of the evening was “The Living Redeemer." Though not well he came to the service feeling as he ever did, that it was good to be in the place of prayer. Thus for more than fifty years he had sung God’s praise in this public way. A good record of a noble work well done.
He was married to Cecelia GROVER, October 9th, 1862. The next five years he worked his father's farm. He then came to the village and engaged in mercantile business for a number of years, after which he purchased the old homestead and returned to farm life. But through serious falls and serious illness he became physically incapacitated for carrying on the farm, and seven years ago came back to Knowlesville to live. He had been an elder in the church upwards of forty years. We thus miss from our number, not only a faithful member and honored Sabbath school teacher, but also an officer who had borne the burden and heat of the day. The bereaved family have the sympathy of a community delighting to show honor to one whom they ever respected. In their sorrow the church mourns with them.
By disposition and practice he was wont to think well of all and speak only kind words. He passed away in the midst of his usefulness; but his fidelity had rendered his life longer in deeds than in years. May our memory of his life be an exhortation to follow him in that which he followed Christ.

Albion, Nov. 24. - Andrew FULLER, a well-known Carlton farmer, died at his home on the Gaines road at Clark's Mills, in the town of Carlton, today, aged 57 years. Mr. FULLER was born in Carlton April 12, 1853, and had been a life-long resident of the locality where he died. His death was caused by Bright's disease.
The deceased was a former assessor of the town of Carlton and a former overseer of the poor of that town, having served several terms in both offices. In politics he was a Republican.
Mr. Fuller leaves his wife (Hattie IVES), two daughters, Mrs. Irving MATSON, of Brockport, and Mrs. P. S. PLATTEN, of Lyndonville, and two brothers, George and Olin FULLER, both of Carlton.

Albion - Mrs. Annie FULLER, 73, a native of England but a resident of the United States for 57 years, died yesterday, Dec. 19. She came to America alone at the age of 16, following the death of her parents. She lived in Carlton until 1893, when she married Isaac FULLER of Albion, who died in 1918. She leaves no known relatives in this country.
Friends may call at the Grinnell Funeral Home at 230 South Main Street, where services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery.

Charles W. FULLER, retired druggist of Newark, Ohio died at his home Monday morning, after an illness of several years. He is survived by his widow and three daughters. One sister, Mrs. George TRUEX, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and one brother Henrie FULLER of Medina, New York, also survive.

Mrs. Clara NORTON FULLER, music teacher, found dead in the Metropolitan Hotel, New York City, Thursday night, was a former resident of Medina. Her father was Moses NORTON, prominent farmer of Alabama, Genesee County. Mrs. FULLER came to Buffalo from Batavia, ran a boarding house on upper Main Street and then went to New York City. Mable FULLER, an actress, is her daughter. Mrs. Fuller was found dead in her room at the hotel. Indications were that death had resulted from a hemorrhage at least 24 hours before the body was discovered.

The body of George C. FULLER, who died at his home in Lansing, Mich., on September 10th was brought to Medina on Monday and taken to the home of Burt D. TIMMERMAN, where the funeral services were held on Tuesday. Rev. W. A. Harris officiated. Mr. FULLER was born in the town of Shelby, October 3, 1831, a son of the late Daniel FULLER. He went to Michigan in the early sixties where he had since resided. Mr. FULLER's wife, who survives him, was Miss Lydia TIMMERMAN, of this place.

Mrs. Gertrude M. GRIMES FULLER, 49, of Middleport, died unexpectedly of a heart attack Dec. 19 at her home. Born in the Town of Gaines she had been a resident of the Town of Hartland for 31 years.
She is survived by her husband, Walter; five sons, Walter J. of Medina, William A., Lawrence A., Charles C., and Gerald D., all of Middleport; a daughter, Evelyn, at home, and five grandchildren. Also her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clark GRIMES of East Concord, NY; three sisters, Mrs. Earl GRIMES of Medina, Mrs. Henry WENDT of Dalton, and Mrs. Peter BUTTON of Chaffee, and several nieces and nephews.
Service was held Friday afternoon. Interment in Hartland Cemetery.

The death of Mrs. Hannah L. FULLER, one of the oldest residents of Lyndonville, occurred at the home of her nephew, Alex McDONALD, in Hamlin Wednesday evening. The deceased was one of the oldest members of the Lyndonville Methodist Episcopal Church and she is survived by nephews and nieces. The funeral was held this afternoon at three o’clock from the Methodist Church, Lyndonville. The interment was made in Lynhaven Cemetery.

Joint funeral services have been set at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Merrill Funeral Home, Albion for four victims of a tragic automobile and truck collision which occurred early last evening on Route 31 between Medina and Albion, killing the four occupants of the auto and injuring the driver of the trailer truck with which it collided.
Those who died in the collision were Herbert FULLER, 40, and his brother, Albert FULLER, 36, both of Densmore Rd., Albion R.F.D., and William E. Fuller, 12, and his sister, Orlea May FULLER, 15, only children of Mr. and Mrs. William D. (Olivia M. KIDNEY) FULLER of Albion.
Funeral services were announced at noon today and it was further revealed that the two older men would be buried in North Shelby Cemetery. Place of burial of the youngsters, nephew and niece of the other dead men, was not revealed.
Survivors of youngsters were listed as the parents, Mr. and Mrs. William D. FULLER, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry B. KIDNEY, Sr., of Albion and Edith WHITING. Survivors of the older brothers were listed as Mrs. WHITING, two other brothers and six sisters. Their names were not given.
The tragedy occurred at about 6 o’clock last evening as the group were returning to Albion after a trip to Knowlesville in search of Mrs. Edith WHITING, grandmother of the two children. They collided with the front of a large tractor-trailer truck at a point on Route 31 near the Eagle Harbor Rd. intersection. According to Roy A. SLONIKER, 23, of Newfane, driver of the truck, who related the incident to Sheriff Carl KLEINDIENST and Trooper L. C. NORSEN, the auto pulled over into the left lane of the two-lane highway at a distance about 70 feet from the oncoming truck which was westbound at the time. The auto pulled out of its own lane in attempting to pass another car.
'I could not avoid a collision,' SLONIKER told investigators. The driver sustained minor injuries to the knees in the crash. He was not held by authorities here, the County Sheriff’s office reported today. The impact of the collision hurled the girl’s body from the car, Sheriff’s men said, while the bodies of the two men and boy were sealed within the demolished 1936 sedan. A tow truck was brought to the scene to pull the two vehicles apart before the three trapped bodies could be removed. The two older men and young boy died instantly; the girl died in Arnold Gregory Memorial Hospital here three hours later, at 9 p. m.
A further report from the Sheriff's office stated that the dead all received fractures of the skull, legs and arms. The truck was carrying a load of carrots taken on at a point south of Albion earlier yesterday, and was going to Newfane. The FULLER group were on their way home from Knowlesville, having failed to locate Mrs. WHITING in that village. The group had started out to visit the grandmother in the afternoon after the two older men had returned from a hunting expedition. Shattered remains of shotguns and hunting equipment were found in the wreckage.
Mr. and Mrs. William D. FULLER of Albion, parents of the dead children were notified at the hospital of the tragedy.

Hester FULLER died at the home of her son William HICKEY, on Main street, Sunday, aged seventy-five years. Old age was the cause of death.

Holley - Funeral services were held here this afternoon for the late Mrs. Lavina FULLER, 94, one of Murray’s oldest residents and for many years active in the community and affairs of the Presbyterian Church. Mrs. FULLER died on Thursday. She was the widow of Ephriam FULLER, former Holley merchant. One son, Avery E. FULLER of Burbanks, Calif., survives.

Mrs. Margaret Rolfe FULLER, aged 88 years, passed away Tuesday morning at 7:30 o’clock, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas FELLOWS, N. Main st. She had been in poor health since suffering a broken hip in a fall on Jan. 20. Deceased was a member of Yates Baptist church and a graduate of Yates Academy, also an honorary member of the Literary and Historical club of Lyndonville.
She was born in the town of Yates on Sept. 18, 1859, the daughter of Fannie REYNOLDS and Charles Clark ROLFE, and married Herbert Boyce FULLER on Mar, 1, 1880. To this marriage five children were born, three of which are deceased, Edith, Merritt and Lola. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Thomas FELLOWS of Lyndonville and Mrs. J. WESLEY Searles of Lima; 7 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Giles T. SCOFIELD of Rochester; also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smythe Funeral Home today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. with Rev. J. Wesley Searles officiating. Interment in Lynhaven Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary FULLER, 68, of West Shelby, whose death occurred Saturday at the Medina Memorial Hospital, were held this afternoon at 2:30 from the Hartt Funeral Home. Rev. J. C. Rawson of the Shelby Baptist Church officiated, and burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Surviving are three sons, Wilbur FULLER or East Shelby, Raymond FULLER of Alabama and Wesley FULLER of Allenberg, Ontario; and three daughters, Mrs. Florence KRAFT of West Shelby, with whom she made her home; Mrs. Bertha NEWTON and Mrs. Marian OSTRANDER, both of Alabama; and one brother, John OVERHOLT of Ridgeway.

She has gone to rest. No more pain or sorrow will be hers. Her spirit has gone to him who gave it. Last Tuesday afternoon the relatives and friends of the bright and happy May, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darwin FULLER, paid her the last sad tribute upon this earth. After a long and wasting sickness she has passed away and gone to the realms of everlasting light, where there is no sickness or sorrow, but joy forever. Since last March she had been confined to the house. At first with rheumatism from which she regained herself and was around with her friends for a short time, but was again taken down, this time with consumption of the bowles, from which she died. Surely the great Ruler knows best, but oh, how hard to see one so young, bright and beautiful, with all the aspects of so happy a life, loved by those near and dear to her, and esteemed by all who knew her, carried away evermore from mortal sight. Many remembrances of her will be cherished, and many heart throbs will be held back as these remembrances recall to us the time when she was in our midst joyous and happy, with a kind word and pleasant smile to greet all.
The funeral services, which were held at the house, were largely attended, Rev. W. B. Randolph officiating. Six of her young gentlemen friends as bearers, accompanied by the same number of young ladies as pall bearers, all fer intimate acquaintances, solemnized the ceremonies, while the moistened eye and tear stained cheek of all, told the story of their love for her. Her friends have the deepest sympathy of all in their bereavement, and for consolation they will bear in mind that there is one above who doeth all things well.

Mrs. Olin FULLER, of Kuckville, died on Monday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred ALLEN, at Lyndonville, where she had been visiting two weeks since returning from the Buffalo hospital. She leaves her husband, Orlin(sic) FULLER, and two daughters, Mrs. Edward BARNUM and Mrs. Fred ALLEN, both of Lyndonville.

The death of Mrs. Rosaline WELD FULLER, the widow of the late Darwin FULLER, occurred this morning at her home on Park avenue. The deceased was born in the town of Yates in 1832, and always been a resident of this county, where she possessed a host of friends. She was a member of the Universalist church.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Blair POLER; two brothers, A. WELD, of North Dakota, and John WELD, of Fruit avenue; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral will take place at her late residence at 2:30 Monday afternoon.
Medina, March 28—Mrs. Rosaline WELD FULLER, widow of Darwin FULLER, died this morning at her home, No 22 Park avenue, after an illness of many years of heart trouble. Mrs. FULLER was born in the town of Yates in 1832, and had lived in the towns of Yates and Ridgeway all her life.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. A. B. POLER; two brothers, Mr. Andrew WELD, of Cleveland, N. Dak., and John WELD, of Fruit avenue; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral will take place from the home on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. Rev. Mr. Lodell, of the Universalist church of Middleport, will officiate.

Prof. Edward FULTON, of the Illinois University, died at his home in Urbana, Ill., Friday last. He was brother in law of Messrs D. A. and V. A. ACER. His wife, who was Kittie ACER, passed away some years since.

Mrs. Elizabeth FUNK, wife of Gustav A. FUNK, died at her home on West Avenue yesterday afternoon following a long illness. Formerly a resident of Buffalo Mrs. FUNK had made her home in Medina for the past 23 years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Sister Othildis of St. Anne’s, Wilkesburg, Pa., and Miss Veronica SCHELLER of Medina; one brother, George SCHELLER of Buffalo; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held from the Thibault Funeral Home, South Main Street, at 8:30 o’clock Friday morning and at 9 o’clock at St. Mary’s Church. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, West Shelby.

Lyndonville - The death of William FUNKHOUSER, 61, occurred s uddenly last night in his home on the East Lake Road where he had resided for the past 10 years. The deceased was born October 2, 1891, in Liberty Furnace, West Virginia.
Surviving are his widow, whom he married in 1939; two sons, Ralph of Cortland and Robert of Johnson Creek; a daughter, Mrs. Howard HILLSINGER of Berkshire, N. Y.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Leslie GILBERT and Mrs. Hannah TIGHE, both of Waterport; four half-brothers, Ira and Clyde BOYCE of Luke, Md.; Harry BOYCE of Baltimore, Md.; and Charles BOYCE, Kaiser, W. Va.; three half-sisters, Mrs. Myrtle RUBLE, Webster, Ind., Mrs. Georgia LIKENS, Giardeau, Mo., and Mrs. John BRENNEER, Luke, Md. and 14 grandchildren. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Medina, and the Lutheran Layman League. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion. Mr. FUNKHOUSER had been employed several years by the Lyndonville Canning Co.
Prayer services will be held 2 p.m. Monday in the Smythe Funeral Home here with funeral services at 2:30 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church, Medina, The Rev. Richard Malte will officiate and burial will be in Lynhaven Cemetery.

Albion - Mrs. Mary B. FURMANSKI, 84, died yesterday in her home here. She was a native of Poland and a resident here for about 60 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish and its Rosary Society.
She is survived by a son, Stanley FURMANSKI of Albion; three daughters, Miss Veronica FURMANSKI of Albion, Mrs. Donnelly MINOR of Clarendon, and Mrs. Casimer STUCKO of Albion; also 14 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday in her home at 341 Wood St., Albion, followed by Mass in St. Mary’s Church. Burial will be in Old St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
