Village of Lyndonville - 1903
The Village of Lyndonville was formed in 1903. It is in the Town of Yates.
It was so named because some of the early settlers came from Lyndon, Vermont. The village was located to take advantage of water power provided by Johnson's Creek.
The Lyndonville Central School System covers the Town of Yates.
