Carl William YAGGE, 301 East Center St., died at the Medina Memorial Hospital last evening following an illness of about two weeks. He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose and St. John's Church, and an employee of Jamestown Royal.
He is survived by three sisters: Misses Albertina L., Jessie and Effie YAGGE, all at home. One brother, F. Edward; two nephews and one grand niece. Friends may call at his late home. Funeral services are incomplete.
Funeral services for the late Carl W. YAGGE, whose death occurred Tuesday (Feb. 19, 1952) in Medina Memorial Hospital, will be held from his 301 East Center Street home Saturday, Feb. 23, at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. John E. WILKINSON will officiate and burial will be in Boxwood Cemetery.

George H. YAGO, 70, passed away suddenly this morning at his late home on the Freeman Road. Mr. YAGO had resided most of his life in this vicinity. Besides his wife (Mary), he leaves one daughter, Mrs. Clifton J. SIMMONS, of Shelby Center; one sister, Mrs. William VOELKER, of Medina; and one brother, Frank YAGO, of Wrights Corners.
Funeral services will be held from Thibaults Funeral Parlors, 1004 South Main St. Wednesday at 2 p.m. D.S.T. with burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, West Shelby.
Funeral services for the late George YAGO who passed away Monday morning at his home on the Freeman road were held at Thibaults Funeral Parlors this afternoon with the Rev. Arthur Gregson officiating, and burial at West Shelby. The bearers were: William Volk, Max Riemer, William Webber, Marion Coleman, Edward Baehr, and Albert Blumerick.

Walter Charles YAHNKE, 52, prominent fruit farmer of this area for many years, died last night at his home on the Ridge Road near Jeddo. He had been seriously ill for some time. Born in the Town of Carlton February 26, 1898, he was the son of Charles F. and Fanny GAY YAHNKE. He was a member of Medina Lodge 336, F. & A.M. and the Orleans County Farm Bureau, and had lived in the present location for the past 16 years.
Surviving are his wife, Leanna HILL YAHNKE; one daughter, Cheryl HILL, at home; one sister, Mrs. Lottie SEDDORE of Detroit, and four half-sisters, Mrs. Frederick HAAG of Buffalo, Mrs. Clifford ROBISON of Barker, Mrs. Harold SMITH of Newfane and Mrs. Maynard PERFITT of Barre. Also one uncle, John YAHNKE; an aunt, Mrs. Augusta AMES, both of Albion, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are being received at the Hartt Funeral Home, Pearl Street, where services are scheduled Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Elder S. Bruce Smith of Buffalo will officiate and burial will be in West Ridgeway Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary E. YALE, former Albion dressmaker and designer, died Tuesday of last week at Union Hill near Webster in the home of a sister, Mrs. Fred HUSTON. Known as 'Madame' YALE, she had made Albion her home for a long period of years and had established a reputation here for high-grade workmanship and distinction of style.
The funeral service was held Friday in the Huston home. Burial was made at West Webster. She leaves also several nieces and nephews to survive her.

William YARRINGTON died Saturday at a hospital in Buffalo. Mr. YARRINGTON had been in poor health for sometime and decided to undergo an operation in the hope that he might regain his health. He is survived by his widow and three children, and one brother, Edward YARRINGTON of Elm Street. The remains were brought to Medina Tuesday and placed in the vault at Boxwood Cemetery.

Frank S. YASKULSKI, 82, died Tuesday (August 22, 1944) at his home at 118 Joseph St. here. Born in Poland, he had come here more than 60 years ago. He leaves his wife, two daughters, Mrs. George GRACZYK of Barre and Mrs Frank GRACZYK of Albion; four sons, Adam and Frank, both of Barre, Joseph of Rochester and Harry of Albion; 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a brother in Poland.
The funeral service will be held tomorrow (Friday) at 9 o'clock in St. Mary's Church. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary YASKULSKI, 82 of Joseph Street died Sunday, Jan. 15, in the Arnold Gregory Hospital. Prayer service was held Wednesday morning in the Merrill Funeral Home and a Requiem Mass at 9:00 o'clock in St. Mary's Church with burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Born in Poland, she had been an Albion resident for 73 years. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Mary ANDREWS of Albion; three sons, Joseph of Rochester, Frank of Elba, and Harry YASKULSKI of Albion; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Ann YAXLEY passed away at the age of 87 years at the home of her son Edward YAXLEY of the Murdock Road on Wednesday morning. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Alice SMITH and Mrs. James CONKEY, two sons Edward and Cephus YAXLEY, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
The funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock with burial at the West Ridgeway Cemetery.

Cephas YAXLEY, 72, well known farmer of the town of Ridgeway, died in his home on Fruit Avenue late Thursday afternoon. Mr. YAXLEY was born and has resided all his life in the vicinity. He had been in ill health for several years.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Donald ACER of Medina, a sister, Mrs. James CONKEY of Lyndonville And three grandsons. Funeral services will be held from his late home Saturday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. A.S. Lowrie will officiate and burial will be in West Ridgeway Cemetery.

Lyndonville - Edward U. YAXLEY, 80, died at his home on Murdock Rd., north of the Ridge Rd., in Town of Ridgeway, late yesterday afternoon. He had been in poor health for several years and died in the house in which he had spent his entire lifetime. He was born there Dec. 5, 1870, son of the late Thomas and Anna PRATT YAXLEY.
Mr. YAXLEY, who was engaged actively in farming until a few years ago, is survived by his wife, Mary, at home; three sons, Ralph, Leo and Howard, all of RD Medina; four grandsons; seven great-grandchildren, four nieces and three nephews.
Funeral services are to be held at the Smythe Funeral Home Wednesday at 2:30 p. m. with the Rev. Raymond Draffin officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Middleport.

Howard W. YAXLEY, 55, of Hosmer Road, Gasport, died this morning at Medina Memorial Hospital after an illness of several weeks. He was born in the Town of Ridgeway on February 16, 1905, and had lived in Ridgeway Corners until two years ago. Mr. YAXLEY had been employed for the last ten years by the Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors Corp. at Lockport.
Surviving are his wife, Berniece GREENE YAXLEY, at home; one son, Donald W. of Medina; four grandchildren; two brothers, Leo and Ralph of Newfane; several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Barnes-Tuttle Funeral Home, Peral St., where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in West Ridge Cemetery.

Lyndonville - The death of Mrs. Ida G. YAXLEY, 52, wife of Ralph YAXLEY of the West Lower Lake Road, occurred Friday morning in Corning, N. Y., where she had been visiting relatives for several weeks. She had been in poor health for about a year and a half.
Born in New York City, January 11, 1897, the daughter of Thomas and Mary GUEST, the deceased married Ralph YAXLEY in Lancaster, N. Y. in 1921. The couple resided on the Ridge Road until thirteen years ago, when they moved to their present farm home. Mrs. YAXLEY was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Lyndonville, and was an honorary member of the Rosary Society. As long as her health permitted she was an active member of the Millers Home Bureau Unit.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Robert and Edward, of Lyndonville, the latter a student at Cornell University; three sisters, Mrs. Richard FRANKENBERG, Mrs. Harrold SUNDSTROM and Mrs. Edward FLYLAND, all of Corning; a brother, Joseph GUEST of Brea, Ohio; three grandchildren; and several neices and nephews.
After prayers at 9 o’clock this morning at the Smythe Funeral Home, a requiem mass was celebrated in St. Joseph’s Church. Burial was in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Middleport.

Mrs. Metta Berniece YAXLEY (nee GREENE), 57, of Prospect Ave. died Saturday in Medina Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born Dec. 13, 1906, she was a native of Medina. Her husband, Howard W. YAXLEY, died in 1960. Mrs. YAXLEY was a member of Hartland Methodist Church.
Surviving are one son, Donald W. YAXLEY of Medina; four grandchildren; one brother, Charles GREENE of Medina; two sisters, Mrs. Walter SCHARLAU of East Shelby and Mrs. Alice BECKETT of West Seneca; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Barnes-Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St., where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Ralph Speas of Ashwood Wesleyan Methodist Church. Burial will be in West Ridgeway Cemetery.

Miss Helen YOSSOCK, Accident Victim, Funeral Wednesday
Funeral services of Miss Helen YOSSOCK, 19-years-old, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John
YOSSOCK, 492 State Street, who was killed in an automobile accident near Middleport early
Sunday morning, will be held at 9 a.m. tomorrow from Sacred Heart Polish Catholic Church.
The Rev. Maximilian T. Bogacki will officiate. Burial will be in
Sacred Heart Cemetery.
The accident in which Miss YOSSOCK lost her life occurred abour 12:30 a.m. Sunday when a car driven by Fred E. BLAZAK, 22, of 68 Durnan Street, Rochester, left the highway on Route 31 just east of Middleport and crashed in a field. Miss YOSSOCK was thrown free of the car, Sergt. Harry ADAMS, State Police, said, as it rolled over. The machine rolled over six or seven times, he said, and travelled about 400 feet before coming to rest right side up.
BLAZAK sustained only a severe laceration of the left hand and wrist. Two other passengers, Henry LICNWIARZ, 20, of Rochester, and Miss Irene J. CIESINSKI, 19, of 164 Elizabeth Street, Medina, were not hurt seriously. Only Miss YOSSOCK was thrown free of the car. She sustained a crushed face and skull, several broken ribs, a fractured collar bone, and various severe wounds about the body. She died at 2:15 a.m. Sunday, a half-hour after being admitted to the Medina Memorial Hospital.
BLAZAK was permitted to return to Rochester Sunday after he had signed a statement in regard to the accident for State Police. It an investigation is started, it will be undertaken by Niagara County authorities. The accident occurred in Niagara County. Miss YOSSOCK died in Orleans County.
Surviving Miss YOSSOCK are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John YOSSOCK, and a younger brother, Raymond, at home. She was employed at the H. J. Heinz Co. plant here. Miss CIESINSKI is also an employe of the company.

John Edward YOSSOCK, 68, of 492 State St., died yesterday in Medina Memorial Hospital shortly after being admitted. Mr. YOSSOCK, who was born in Poznan, Poland, came to the United States at the age of three. He had been employed as an upholsterer at the Jamestown Royal Furniture Co. and S A. Cook and Co. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and the Sacred Heart Society.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes SHUBBUCK; one son, Raymond; three sisters, Mrs. Mary WOCHNA of Medina: Mrs. Josephine MACIOSZEK of Tonawanda and Mrs. Eleanore BERKELL of Buffalo; several nieces and nephews.
Prayer services will be held Wednesday morning at 9:45 at the Gulinski Funeral Home, 420 Eagle Street., followed by a funeral mass at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church with the Rev. Joseph RYDZ officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

YOULES, 64, native of Medina and a veteran of World War I whose death occurred in the Buffalo Veterans Administration Hospital Sunday, Sept. 6, following an illness of four weeks. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Full military honors will be accorded the Medina veteran at the grave.

YOULES, 78, a lifelong resident of Medina, whose death occurred yesterday afternoon at the Resthaven Nursing Home, Gasport following a lingering illness, will be held Monday morning at 8:30 o’clock from the Thibault Funeral Home, South Main Street and at 9 o’clock at St. Mary’s Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home where the body is resting.
Mrs. Youles was the daughter of the late Hugh and Ann McNAMARA, and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church. She was also a member of the Bea Good Grandmother’s Club. Surviving are three sons, James of Medina, Harry of Syracuse, and William of Pittsburgh, Pa.; one sister, Mrs. Bridget COVENY of Medina; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Gertrude YOUNG, wife of John YOUNG, died at her home on Church street Monday morning after a brief illness, in the 41st year of her age. Besides her husband she is survived by seven children, the youngest two years of age. Funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian church this afternoon, Rev. Mr. Heisler officiating.

Lyndonville - Burial will take place here for J. Leslie YOUNG of N.J., whose death occurred in Trenton on August 6. Services were held Sunday in Flemington Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Linn J. Creighton. He was 61 years of age and for 25 years a supervisor of dairy products in the New Jersey Department of Agriculture. He was a member of the Flemming Post American Legion. Mr. Young married Ruby BENTLEY of this village who survives him. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley BENTLEY attended funeral services Sunday.

Born in the Town of Shelby his parents were the late Stephen and Mary (VanDYKE) YOUNG. For a number of years he resided on South Main Street in Medina, but for the past few years he had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Fred SCHLEGEL on Washington St. in Albion.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Philip LaMACHIA and Mrs. William DUNN of Medina; Mrs. John EIBELL, Jr. and Mrs. Fred SCHLEGEL of Albion; four sons, Weldon YOUNG, Jr. of Lockport; Russell, Emerson and Lyle YOUNG of Medina; a sister, Mrs. James PATTON of Medina; 32 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.

Death of Mary A. YOUNG occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter POSTLE, one mile north of Ridgeway Saturday evening. She was 94 years of age and is survived by four children; Mrs. Nettie DuBOIS of Medina, William W. YOUNG of Lockport, Samuel YOUNG of Knowlesville, Mrs. Walter POSTLE of Ridgeway, 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. She has lived in this country for seventy-seven years. The funeral will be held at two o’clock Tuesday at the Postle home.

An Erin Road woman took her own life early today with a shotgun. She was Mrs. Mildred YOUNG, 37, wife of Emerson YOUNG, who with their four children, reside at 117 Erin Road. According to information given to Medina police by the husband, he returned from work at seven o’clock this morning. Believing his wife was still in bed he did not institute a search for her until shortly before 10 a.m. when he found that she was not in her room. Her lifeless body was found in a rear shed where she had pressed the barrel of a shotgun against her face and apparently used a stick to trigger the weapon. A neighbor, Mrs. David Smith, said she heard the sound of a shotgun being fired at approximately 6:30 a.m. but did not pay too much attention to it at the time.
Mrs. YOUNG had been a patient at the Rochester State Hospital for several weeks and had been returning there for treatment, according to her husband. The body was taken to the Thibault Funeral Home, South Main Street, where funeral arrangements are being made. A certificate of death by suicide will be issued by Dr. Walter Shifton of Albion, County coroner.
