Mr. I. G. ZALINSKI, father-in-law of our townsmen J. N. KERSBURG, Lewis ADLER and S. H. GOODMAN, died at his home in Seneca Falls, on Wednesday evening last, after an illness of several weeks from heart disease. He was for many years a successful clothing merchant of the above place, and the owner of considerable real estate. He leaves a wife, five daughters and two sons. The funeral was held from the family residence Saturday afternoon, and the remains taken to Albion for interment in the Hebrew cemetery at that place.

Mrs. August Zanow Died Saturday In Home Near Ashwood
Lyndonville - After an illness of several years, the death of Mrs. Hattie Ernestine ZANOW, 59, wife of August ZANOW, occurred at her home near Ashwood Saturday, February 9. She was born in the Town of Royalton, Niagara County, December 30, 1886, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles REIMER, and had lived most of her life in this vicinity.

Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Louis PRATT of Lyndonville; one son, Floyd ZANOW of Rose Road, Middleport; a sister, Mrs. Francis GARRITY, Rochester; a brother,Carl RIEMER, Wolcottsville; seven grandchildren; and four nieces and nephews. Furneral services were held from the Warne Funeral Home, Maple Avenue, this afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. H. W. Neumann of the County Line Litheran Church officiated and burial was in Lynhaven Cemetery

MARY BERTHA SCHNACKEL ZANOW (31 Jul 1875 - 20 Mar 1950)

Mrs. Mary Bertha ZANOW, 74, wife of Rudolph ZANOW, died late Monday evening at her home, one mile west of Lyndonville.

She was born in Rochester, July 31, 1875, daughter of Sophia WOLFE and William SCHNACKEL. She married Rudolph ZANOW in December 15, 1897. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversity two years ago last December. They resided in the Town of Yates about 45 years, and she was a member of the County Line Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Elmer GRIMES of Lyndonville and Mrs. Thomas DICKINSON of Buffalo; one son, Norman ZANOW of Buffalo; one daughter, Mrs. Edith BAYNE, who died in the year 1935; four grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers, Fred and William SCHNACKEL, both of Lyndonville; and one sister, Mrs. Chris NEUMAN.

Services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Smythe Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lynhaven Cemetery.

RUDOLPH ZANOW (7 Dec 1871 - 22 Mar 1954)

Lyndonville - Rudolph ZANOW, 82, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Thomas DICKINSON, 312 Newhill Street, Buffalo, where he had resided for the past four years. He died Monday unexpectedly. Mr. ZANOW was born in Saginaw, Mich., on Dec. 7, 1871, the son of August and Marie JOHNKE ZANOW, and he had lived in the Town of Yates for about 45 years. He had been engaged in farming until several years ago. His wife, Mrs. Mary SCHNACKLE ZANOW, died in March 1950. Mr. Zanow was a member of County Line Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Elmer GRIMES of Montezuma, Indiana, and Mrs. DICKINSON of Buffalo. Also one son, Norman ZANOW of Buffalo, and five grandchildren. Two brothers, William and Charles, of Lyndonville. Two sisters, Mrs. Emma BLANCHARD of Lyndonville and Mrs. Mary McAVOY of Barker. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon in S mythe Funeral Home, North Main Street, with the Rev. Jacob Huehn of Buffalo officiating. Burial will be in Lynhaven Cemetery.

The death of Lyman F. ZIMMERMAN, formerly of Medina, occurred Tuesday evening, August 26, at his home, 826? Edwardsburgh Avenue, Elkhart, Ind. He was a member of Medina Lodge F. & A. M. and a veteran of the Civil War. He leaves to mourn their loss his wife (Mary L. SNYDER), two sons, Edmond F. and Dr. Erastus R. ZIMMERMAN, both of Elkhart, a daughter, Laura K. HALDERMAN, of Morrisville, Pa., and several grandchildren.

Edward ZUCZUSKI, 70, of 120 North St., died early this morning at his home after an illness of two weeks. He was born Oct. 4, 1888, in Medina and had lived here his entire lifetime. Mr. ZUCZUSKI had been employed by S. A. Cook and Co. until his retirement. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church and the Holy Name Society of the church, and he was a member of St. Joan of Arc of Orleans Fourth Degree Assembly, Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife Anna KOZAK ZUCZUSKI; two daughters, Sister Mary Aloysia of Mount St. Mary’s in Kenmore and Mrs. Gerald MELAND of Gasport; one son, Chester, of Medina; six grandsons and two granddaughters. Also, four sisters, Mrs. Celia FRIDAY and Mrs. Victoria CHERRY of Medina, Mrs. Mary WHITE of West Palm Beach, Fla, and Mrs. Emma JAMIESON of Port Dalhousie, Ont.; several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at his late home. Funeral arrangements have not been completed at this time.

STANLEY FRANCIS ZUCZUSKI (31 Mar 1912 - 10 Oct 1943)

The death of Stanley Francis ZUCZUSKI, 31, of 405 Meade avenue, occurred early Sunday morning in the Buffalo General Hospital, following an illness of ten weeks. Born March 31, 1912 in Medina, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward ZUCZUSKI. He attended St. Mary’s School, and for the past six years had been employed at the H J. Heinz Co., where he was stock clerk. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, and a member of the Holy Name Society of the Church.

Surviving are his wife, Gertrude DANIELEWSKI; three children, Rosanne, Raymond, and Annette; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward ZUCZUSKI of North street; one brother, Sgt. Chester ZUCZUSKI, stationed with the U. S. Army at Camp White, Oregon; and three sisters, Sister Mary Aloysia of the Order of St. Mary's at Annunciation Convent, Buffalo, and Bernice and Helen ZUCZUSKI at home.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 8:30 from the home of his parents, 120 North street, and at 9:00 in St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

She was born in Fancher and had resided in Albion since her marriage seven years ago. Mrs. Zummo belonged to St. Joseph's Church and Court Anastasia of the Catholic Daughters of America.

She leaves her husband; her father, Camille MONACELLI of Fancher; six sisters Mrs. Jack DiLAURA and Mrs. John NARDOZA, Rochester, Mrs. Emil DiBARTOLOMEO, Detroit, Mrs. Michael PADUANO and Miss Irene MONACELLI, Fancher, and Mrs. Herbert ROOT, Brockport, and four brothers, Gilbert, Jack and Raymond MONACELLI, Fancher, and Ollie MONACELLI, Philadelphia, Pa. The funeral Mass was held at 9 AM this morning in St. Joseph's Church. Burial was made at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Mrs. Frances (nee COTRISS) ZURZUSKI, 60, wife of Frank ZURZUSKI, died suddenly at her home on North Avenue, last night. Born in Medina, Jan. 16, 1887, Mrs. ZURZUSKI was a lifelong resident of Medina. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Richard, David, and Robert ZURZUSKI, of Medina; five grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Mary BRENAMAN and Mrs. Pauline PAHURA of Medina, and Mrs. Lena THOMPSON and Mrs. Clara CONDON of Lockport; and three brothers, Lawrence, James, and William COTRISS, all of Medina.

Funeral services will be held from the O’Reilly Funeral Home, East Center Street, on Monday morning at 8:30 o’clock and at St. Mary’s Church at 9 o’clock. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Frank Schultz ZURZUSKI, 71, of 115 North Ave., died Saturday evening at his late home. He was born in Medina and had been an upholsterer all his life working at one time for the Empire Couch company. His wife died eleven years ago. Mr. Zurzuski was a member of St. Mary’s Church and the Holy Name Society.

Survivors include three sons, Richard and Robert of Medina and David of Buffalo; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also, four sisters, Mrs. Celia FRIDAY, Mrs. Victoria CHERRY and Mrs. Mary WHITE, all of Medina, and Mrs. John JAMISON of Port Dalhousie, Ont., one brother Edward of Medina; several nieces and nephews.

Prayer services will be held at 8:30 a m. tomorrow at the Gulinski Funeral Home, Eagle St., followed by a funeral mass at 9 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
