Town of Clarendon - 1821
The Town of Clarendon's first settler came in 1810. The name was changed from Farwell Mills
to Clarendon in 1821. It is located in the southeast corner of Orleans County and is 6 miles
square. There are two hamlets; Clarendon
& Manning
Glidden
Hillside
Holy Cross Catholic
Maplewood
Pettingill aka Manning or Christian
Robinson
Root aka Cook or Munger
Polly aka Locust Hill (Located in Monroe County)
